What was Pearl Harbor? A short book by Patricia Brennan Demuth shows that anything can happen at any time. To begin with World War II was being fought the US was staying out of it but Hitler was not. He was trying to take over little countries for more land. Soon the US cut the oil supply for Japan. Japan was mad at the US so they planned  an attack on the us. Their plan was to take out the Pacific Fleet so the US had no threat in the Pacific Fleet. So Japan bombed the US ships in Pearl Harbor.

I think the attack on Pearl Harbor was a devastating attack. However the US asked for it by ending the oil supply for Japan. If the US didn't do that Japan would have not bomb Pearl Harbor. I think the US was not making a smart move by putting the Pacific Fleet in Pearl Harbor. The US will never make that mistake again.

I survived the bombing of Pearl Harbor is a tragic book the main characters are Danny, Ma, Mrs.sudo, Aki. Aki was a little kid that his Mom was from japan. On 12/7 /1941 Aki pulled Danny outside to look at airplanes flying through the sky. Booom boom. The “Germans must be attacking us” Danny said. But “Mrs.sudo was crying, those are not german planes, those are japanese”.Danny rushed to the hospital to see Ma. Ma was so happy to see him.
