I Survived the Revolutionary War by Lauren Tarshes tells about the Revolutionary War and a kid who fights for his young and not yet country. Nate the main character is a 13-year-old boy in the 1700s. He wanted Eliza and the to be free they are slaves. However his cousin Storch needs them and is really mean. So Nate runs away on a boat. Then he was dragged into the battle of Brookland where he almost died. In the end, Storch died and Nate took over the farm and freed Theo and Eliza.
I rate this book 9/10 because it is about the Revolutionary War. I love the Revolutionary War and history. Also, I thought that it was pretty close to what actually happened in the American revolution. I would recommend this book to a friend. most kids love I Survived books. overall I loved this book.
