Freindle a fiction book by Andrew Clements, tells about a boy who makes up a fake word and the teacher was not pleased. Nick, the main character, a 5th grader, was a troublemaker sometimes. He wanted to disrupt English class so they would get less homework from Ms.Granger. However, Ms.Granger knew his tricks. He could not figure out anything to disrupt class with. So he made a new word, It was Freindle. Then, the entire USA was using it, and Ms.Granger was mad. In the end, Nick became famous and his word is in the dictionary.
I had some questions and thoughts about this book. My first question was why Ms. Granger wanted to be the book's villain. She could have been Nick's most significant supporter but she was the villain instead. I think the lesson of this book was that anything is possible and always believe. I think Nick’s character trait was bravery he didn’t have to make up that word but he did and it worked. Those were my thoughts and ideas on Freindle
