Sports Illustrated Kids Hockey by Agnieszka Biskup tells about hockey and all the facts and things in hockey. To start, the book states that ice makes hockey so fast. Next, players with blades on the bottom of their skates could be deadly. Also, there are between 12,000 and 15,000 gallons of water on the ice. Also, it's the speed of hockey that makes it dangerous. To end it, what makes a player great? well, it is the amount of points they put up and the amount of cups they get
After reading this book I had some thoughts on it because I play hockey. First, I agree that players' skates are a real threat on the ice. A player in Europe just got his neck cut by a skateblade and died. Also, I did not know that the ice had that many gallons of water in it that's crazy. Next, I agree with what makes a player great, however, I think you should throw in the amount of awards you win. To end it, I think hockey is fast because the push you have on the ice is really powerful.
